Set NeutralSpace as your
default search engine

Pick your browser below. The whole process takes about 60 seconds.

Google Chrome

Chrome requires you to visit and search NeutralSpace once before it appears as an option in settings.

Visit neutralspace.xyz and perform any search.

Click the three dots menu (top right) and go to Settings.

Click Search engine in the left sidebar.

Click Manage search engines and site search.

Find NeutralSpace in the list. Click the three dots next to it and select Make default.

Mozilla Firefox

Firefox automatically detects NeutralSpace as an installable search engine when you visit the site.

Visit neutralspace.xyz.

Click the search bar at the top of the browser.

Look for the NeutralSpace icon with an add button at the bottom of the dropdown. Click Add NeutralSpace.

Go to Settings → Search. Under Default Search Engine, select NeutralSpace.

Apple Safari

Safari on macOS 14+ supports custom search engines via the settings menu.

Open Safari → Settings (or Preferences on older macOS).

Click the Search tab.

Click the Search Engine dropdown.

If NeutralSpace appears, select it. If not, select Other and enter: https://neutralspace.xyz/?q=%s

Microsoft Edge

Visit neutralspace.xyz and perform any search.

Go to Settings → Privacy, search, and services.

Scroll to Address bar and search and click it.

Click Manage search engines. Find NeutralSpace and click Make default.

iPhone & iPad (Safari)

iOS Safari does not yet support fully custom search engines natively. The best option is to install NeutralSpace as a home screen app.

Open neutralspace.xyz in Safari.

Tap the Share button (the box with an arrow pointing up).

Tap Add to Home Screen.

Tap Add. NeutralSpace will appear on your home screen as an app — tap it any time to search.

Android (Chrome)

Visit neutralspace.xyz and perform any search.

Tap the three dots menu and go to Settings.

Tap Search engine.

Select NeutralSpace from the list.

Optionally, tap Add to Home screen from the browser menu to install NeutralSpace as an app.
